BlueWorks
BlueWorks is a unique collaboration between the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association and the Harvard Medical School’s Department of Health Care Policy. It provides a quarterly review of Blue Cross and Blue Shield company innovations that address clinical and administrative simplification, giving physicians more time to focus on patient care.
Our Web Precert tool was one of seven national winners in honor of "BlueWorks for Providers Week," September 10-14, 2007. Physicians use Web Precert, located in our secure My Insurance ManagerSM† feature, to enter the member’s identifying information to determine if pre-certification is required. If it’s needed, the physician or staff member can enter clinical information online and receive a response for the majority of requests within seconds.
My Pharmacy ManagerSM† earned honors in September 2006, for its approach to helping consumers tackle the challenge of comparing prescription medicine costs. My Pharmacy Manager helps our members research prescription drug choices and save money by providing secure, easy online access to information about their prescription drug coverage. E-Fusion
This awards program recognizes innovative, business-focused uses of technology in actual use by insurers. A.M. Best selected our Superbill claims entry feature in My Insurance Manager for providers as a finalist in the 2007 E-Fusion Insurance and Technology Awards program. In 2006, online precertification in My Insurance Manager for providers earned a finalist nomination. (See more E-Fusion awards.)
2007 WebAward
My Insurance Manager for Providers won Standard of Excellence honors in the Insurance category in the 2007 WebAward competition. The awards, sponsored by the Web Marketing Association, recognize top Web sites in 96 industries.
Call Center Awards
In June 2007, the STATchat feature in My Insurance Manager on SouthCarolinaBlues.com earned top honors in the 3rd Annual Call Center Awards in the Best Use of Technology category, after being recognized as a finalist in 2006. The International Quality & Productivity Center (IQPC) established the awards to honor, recognize and promote call centers that demonstrate true best practices. The Call Center Excellence Awards are dedicated to recognizing superior thinking, creativity and execution across the full spectrum of call center functions.
Webby Awards
Provider My Insurance Manager on SouthCarolinaBlues.com has earned recognition as an Official Honoree in the Insurance category of the 10th Annual Webby awards! The International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences sponsors the competition, and states, "Of the more than 5,500 entries submitted to the 10th Annual Webby Awards, fewer than 20% were distinguished as an Official Honoree. This honor signifies an outstanding caliber of work."
e-Healthcare Leadership Awards
In 2007, SouthCarolinaBlues.com took Silver honors in the e-Healthcare Leadership Awards, sponsored by the New York-based publication, e-Healthcare Strategy & Trends. The award was in the HMO/PPO/Other Insurers division for the Best Interactive Site category. My Insurance Manager for providers earned recognition for providing outstanding and innovative service to health care providers. In 2006, SouthCarolinaBlues.com took Platinum honors in the same category.
W3 Awards
In 2006, SouthCarolinaBlues.com earned a Silver award in the W3 Awards, which honors creative excellence on the Web and recognizes the creative and marketing professionals behind award-winning sites and marketing programs. The International Academy of the Visual Arts sponsors the awards competition.
