Fall is upon us. The air is getting colder, leaves are changing colors and everyone has the hope that this is the year for their football team. Wouldn’t you hate to miss all that because you’re stuck at home with the flu?

The good news is that many of our group and individual plans cover in-network flu shots.

These plans cover the flu shot at no cost to the member (excluding office visit copayment for noted plans):

• Non-grandfathered Business Blue^SM plans
• Grandfathered Business Blue^SM plans with Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) preventive benefits
• Groups with PPACA preventive benefits and our new sustained health benefit
• Personal Blue^SM Basic
• Personal Blue^SM Secure
• Personal True Blue®
• Personal Blue^SM High Deductible Health Plans (HDHP)
• Members ages 1 through 6 covered by a Personal Blue^SM Plan 1

Members with these plans can apply payment to their deductible and coinsurance:

• Grandfathered Business Blue^SM plans without PPACA preventive benefits
• Members ages 7 and older covered by a Personal Blue^SM Plan 1
• Personal Blue^SM Plan 2
• HDHP Medical Savings Account (MSA)
