"This is our investment in rewarding physicians and hospitals for providing the best healthcare to our members," said John Little, MD, BlueCross vice president of Health Care Services and chief medical officer. - An increase in reimbursement for 12 months if they achieved the 90th percentile performance in any eight of the 20 quality measures tracked by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).
- An increase in reimbursement for participation in the Leapfrog Group’s Hospital Quality and Safety reporting program.
- An increase in reimbursement if their hospital scores in the top 25% nationally in the BlueCross BlueShield Blue Distinction Hospital Measurement Program, or if they have fully implemented all of the Leapfrog Group’s recommended Safe Practices.
