Mental Health Networks
This section includes mental health practitioner credentialing and contracting information Credentialing for mental health practitioners is coordinated through Companion Benefit Alternatives, Inc (CBA), and covers the networks for the CBA, Preferred Blue and BlueChoice® HealthPlan plans. On behalf of BlueCross, CBA administers mental health and substance abuse benefits. CBA is a separate company.

As of January 1, 2002, the State Health Plan uses another non-BlueCross benefits company to administer its mental health benefits.
BlueChoice HealthPlan is a wholly owned subsidiary of BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina and an independent licensee of the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association.
