Maternity Management Program

Coming Attractions is the comprehensive maternity and infant case management program for the SC State Health Plan. It manages mothers throughout their pregnancies and post-partum care, and infants under 1 year old with special care needs. 

Pre-Certifying Your Pregnancy

You must call Medi-Call to precertify your pregnancy within the first trimester (three months). If you do not call Medi-Call within the first trimester or you refuse to participate in the maternity management program, you will pay a $200 penalty for each maternity-related hospital or skilled nursing facility admission. This penalty will be in addition to the existing Medi-Call precertification penalty. Also, the $2,000 coinsurance maximum will not apply.

How to Enroll

Complete the Initial Maternity Screening form in your Personal Health Record to enroll in Coming Attractions. You can also call Medi-Call at 800-925-9724 to complete the screening with a maternity nurse. After you complete the screening, you will receive a letter from your maternity nurse welcoming you to the program and a packet of information that includes a maternity book.
