Organizations Honor S.C. BlueCross Executives for Philanthropy Work

Columbia, S.C. -- Two organizations named BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina executives as honorees for their volunteer work benefiting the March of Dimes and the United Way of the Midlands.

Jim Hart, senior vice president of the company’s Group and Individual Division, was named Southern Regional Volunteer of the Year at the March of Dimes National Volunteer Leadership Conference held recently in Kansas City, Mo.

Judy Davis, vice president and chief legal counsel, was designated as Outstanding Volunteer Fundraiser by the South Carolina chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals during a National Philanthropy Day event held in Columbia, S.C.

Hart, who currently serves as the South Carolina chapter March of Dimes Public Affairs Chairman and Prematurity Campaign Chairman, has been active in the March of Dimes for many years.

Davis is chairing the United Way of the Midlands campaign this year, which has a goal of $11.5 million for distribution to nonprofit community groups in central South Carolina.
