Columbia, S.C. – BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina has career opportunities for nurses who wish to utilize their professional skills outside the clinical setting while enjoying a steady work schedule and an environment supportive of family and professional growth.
Nurses interested in taking advantage of this opportunity are invited to attend a career fair at the BlueCross facility at 4101 Percival Road, Columbia, on Thursday, November 4. Recruiters and BlueCross nurses will be available to speak with candidates from 4 until 8 p.m. Nurses are asked to bring a resume. Nurses unable to stop in during those hours should e-mail a resume to email@example.com.
Barbara Kelly, BlueCross vice president for Human Resources, said the company has openings for registered nurses and licensed practical nurses in its private insurance and
government programs divisions. Most of the openings are for the Columbia area, but positions also are available at other BlueCross locations.
Responsibilities of BlueCross nurses include applying clinical expertise to support members through the company’s disease management and case management programs.
“Many nurses with experience in a clinical setting find that BlueCross is a wonderful place to advance their careers while they continue to serve patients,” Kelly said. “BlueCross is committed to providing for the whole employee. We offer competitive salaries, and a variety of training opportunities and our education assistance program provide for continuing professional development.”
Other benefits include pension and a matching 401(k) retirement plan, on-site fitness centers and wellness programs, health and life insurance, paid holidays and paid annual leave.
