S.C. BlueStore Changes Schedule In Response to Successful Sales

Columbia, S.C. – BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina’s retail outlet, the SC BlueStore^TM in Mount Pleasant, has changed its schedule to be open every weekday.
 
Located at 615 Johnnie Dodds Blvd., Suite 102, in The Plaza at East Cooper Shopping Center, the 1,800-square-foot store is open 9:30 a.m.-6:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Previously, it was closed on Mondays.

BlueCross opened the SC BlueStore in 2009 to serve people who are shopping for insurance and want face-to-face assistance in a comfortable retail setting. Other sales channels include independent agents, the company’s website and toll-free phone lines.

“We have a lot of people coming off group plans who’ve never purchased insurance on their own. A face-to-face conversation at our SC BlueStore is a comfortable and informative way to provide them with a satisfying experience,” said BlueCross BlueShield Marketing Vice President Bill Igleheart. “A review of operations shows that the SC BlueStore has been successful, but more productive on weekdays, so we’ve changed the operating schedule to include Mondays.”

The SC BlueStore (www.scbluestore.com) also participates in the community by sponsoring local events, such as the recent Influential Women in Charleston Business luncheon hosted by the Charleston Regional Business Journal.
