Out-of-State Eligibility

If you can't find the information you need on My Insurance ManagerSM when checking eligibility for a member of another Blue Plan, STATchatSM lets you call the patient's plan right over your Internet connection.

To use STATchat, you will need either a headset or a microphone and standalone speakers connected to your computer.

Instructions

  • Use My Insurance Manager to check eligibility for a patient who has coverage from another Blue Plan.
  • If you have additional questions after seeing the response to your inquiry, click "Ask Provider Services." You will see a page with a box that looks like this:

  • Click "Connect" to call the patient’s Blue Plan right over your Internet connection. When you use STATchat for the first time, there is a brief software installation process before you connect to the BlueCard Eligibility line.
