Updated Clinical Practice Guidelines and Preventive Care Guidelines

Our Quality Medical Advisory Panel has reviewed, updated and approved the 2013 Clinical Practice Guidelines and Preventive Care Guidelines.

For the Clinical Practice Guidelines, we added treatment guidelines for these conditions:

  • Coronary artery disease
  • Hyperlipidemia
  • Hypertension
  • Congestive heart failure
  • Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)
  • Chronic kidney disease

Clinical Practice Guidelines are nationally recognized evidence-based clinical guidelines from reputable organizations such as:

  • The National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute
  • The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
  • The American Heart Association
  • The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality

You can find the Clinical Practices Guidelines in the Provider Education Center. Members can find the 2013 Preventive Care Guidelines in the Wellness section of My Health Toolkit.
