BlueCard Medical Policy and Precertification Tool

BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina is excited to present a new website feature. This feature will make it easier for you to find the information you need to treat your out-of-area Blue patients. 

Use our new BlueCard^® Precertification tool to check medical polices and get general precertification/preauthorization requirements for out-of-area Blue patients. You can also get the contact information you need to initiate precertification/preauthorizations.
 
Just go to the Precertification page in the Provider Education Center on our website. You will need the patient’s alpha prefix from his or her member ID card.
