Individual Product Training and Appointment Information
March 25, 2020
We are facing an uncertain and unprecedented time that could have an impact on an individual’s healthcare options. We are committed to providing information and resources that you can offer to your clients during this time. You may have clients who are looking for health insurance options for themselves, their spouse, or family. Whether it’s Individual Coverage (including subsidized coverage through the Affordable Care Act or unsubsidized direct coverage), coverage under an employer’s group health plan that is newly available for an employee’s dependent as a result of a change in other coverage, coverage under an Individuals Coverage Health Insurance Arrangement (ICHRA), short-term health, or Medicare Supplement plan, we have options to get them covered.
To sell BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina individual plans, here is what you need to do to become appointed:
BlueCross individual (ACA) plans
- Complete the “U65 Attestation” in the Learning Management System (LMS)
- If selling "on-exchange" or "healthcare.gov" plans, complete the Federally Facilitated Marketplace (FFM) training. Follow this link for step-by-step instructions.
BlueCross short-term health plans
- Complete the “U65 Attestation” in the LMS
BlueCross Medicare Supplement plans
- Complete the “Medicare Supplement Training” in the LMS
As soon as we receive notification you’ve completed these items, we will update your appointment status in our system.
Please contact your Marketing Representative if you have any questions or need help becoming appointed.
We hope you and your family stay well. Please visit the news section of our Agent website to view all recent bulletins.
