Medicare Supplement Rate Adjustment Delayed

To support our members during this uncertain and challenging time, we have decided to delay the rate adjustment on our Medicare Supplement plans until July 1, 2020. While this decision was made in the best interest of our members, it has temporarily changed the way you submit new applications. We have outlined how to quote and submit enrollments below. We appreciate your partnership and working through this with us. 

Plan effective dates between April 1, 2020 and April 15, 2020

Plan effective dates between May 1, 2020 and June 15, 2020 

How to quote – You have two options: 

  1. April 15, 2020 — effective date to get a quote on SalesConnect
  2. Refer to the Rate Book on Storefront 

How to enroll: 

  • Use a paper application 
  1. BlueCare®
  2. Blue Select®

 

  • Once an application is signed and complete, you can return to us by:

At this time, we are not encouraging mailed applications. If you need assistance submitting an application, please contact your Marketing Rep.

We also want to encourage you to obtain an actual signature on the applications. If that is not possible, you must keep record of the consent.

This process does not apply to our new plans, HD G and K.

You can continue to use SalesConnect to enroll your clients in these plans regardless of effective date!

What if I have already enrolled someone with a May 1 or later effective date?

We are honoring the current rate until the rate adjustment is in effect. We are mailing a letter to these members communicating this update.
