Forbes Recognizes BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina as One of America’s Best Employers for New Graduates

September 17, 2020

Forbes magazine has named BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina to its 2020 list of America’s Best Employers for New Graduates. BlueCross is one of two South Carolina-based companies to make the nationwide list.

“We’re pleased to be recognized by Forbes as a top employer for new graduates,” said David Cote, vice president of human resources at BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina.

“We are a large organization with diverse opportunities. Young professionals can build their careers here. Moreover, we are attractive as an employer because we invest in the professional development of our workforce, provide robust benefits and offer a corporate culture that is sensitive to work/life balance. We also invest in our community, as we are mindful of our responsibility as a good corporate citizen and are proud of the generosity and volunteer spirit of our employees.”

The ranking is determined by an independent, anonymous survey of approximately 20,000 U.S. young professionals working for companies employing at least 1,000 people. Respondents are asked to give their opinion about their own employer on several work-related topics including atmosphere and development, working conditions, salary and workplace diversity.

Earlier this year, BlueCross was recognized by Forbes as one of America’s Best Large Employers in South Carolina. The full list of America’s Best Employers for New Graduates of 2020 can be found on the Forbes website.
