Health care doesn’t just happen at the doctor’s office. We offer innovative and engaging health and wellness programs to support members in making healthful choices in their daily lives — from digital platforms that make wellness fun to person-centered health coaching.

Health coaching — chronic conditions

Members who are facing behavioral health or chronic conditions can get condition-specific education and support.

Programs include:

  • Recovery support for substance abuse disorder
  • Asthma (adult and pediatric)
  • Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)
  • Bipolar disorder
  • Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)

Health coaching — lifestyle

Wellness coaching helps members make behavioral changes that improve overall well-being and prevent the development of more serious health conditions. Programs include:

  • Back care
  • Maternity care
  • Stress management
  • Tobacco-free living
  • Weight management (adults and children)

Essential Advocate®

Members can get concierge-level support 24 hours a day, seven days a week to address their concerns — including a 24-hour nurse line. They’ll get assistance ranging from answers about their health benefits, to guidance on elderly care, to help finding the most economical medical services.


Introducing Strive, a comprehensive solution for health and well-being engagement. Strive is a product of Virgin Pulse, an independent company that offers a digital health platform on behalf of your health plan. It’s designed to help members adopt easy-to-maintain changes in behavior that can lower health risks.

Strive is user-friendly, with digital options similar to those members already use and enjoy in their daily lives. Features include a brief health survey, challenges, digital coaching and educational content. Strive’s smart technology serves up tailored tips and programming that help members build healthy habits. They can even share features, such as challenges, with friends and family members.

Health Incentive Account (HIA)

A health incentive account (HIA) can help you control costs by encouraging members to seek regular preventive care. Our rewards platform tracks activities such as annual physicals or biometric screenings, dental exams, health surveys and completion of Rally missions. We’ll also handle administration of the rewards — which can be deductible credits or gift cards.
