2019 Business BlueEssentials Pharmacy Information

The information on this page applies to Business BlueEssentialsSM members. You may have one of these plans if you work for a small business and get health insurance through your employer. These plans comply with the Affordable Care Act (ACA).

Not sure if this applies to you? Check your insurance card. The first three letters of your member ID should be ZCV.

BlueCross works with a team of health care providers to choose drugs that provide quality treatment. The plan covers medications when:

  • The drug is medically necessary.
  • You fill the prescription at one of our network pharmacies.
  • You follow all plan rules.

Want to know if a medication is covered by your plan? It’s easy to search our covered drug list.

Vaccine Networks

Business BlueEssentials members can get vaccinated for the flu, pneumonia and other illnesses at CVS/pharmacy locations at no cost. Just show the pharmacist your member ID, and there’s no copay.

There are CVS/pharmacy locations across the country. Use Caremark’s Pharmacy Directory to find one near you. Or browse one of these lists:

If you choose to get an eligible vaccine at a pharmacy other than CVS/pharmacy, you may have to pay a charge. This amount would not apply to your deductible or out-of-pocket maximum.
