Importance of Submitting Continued Stay Reviews Properly in Cohere Health

March 25, 2026

To ensure your patients continue receiving the care they need, it is important that Continued Stay Reviews (CSR) are submitted within seven days of the initial request.

To submit a CSR, in addition to uploading clinical documentation, you must select the “start continuation” button. Not selecting this button has downstream impacts:

  • The request is not flagged as a Continued Stay Review (CSR) in our system.
  • Our team cannot see that you are awaiting a response.
  • Responses are delayed, sometimes escalating unnecessarily.

If you do not select the continuation button, the request will not be submitted.

Correct Process

When submitting additional documentation:

  1. First you must always select the “start continuation” button.
  2. Then you should upload and fill out all the required clinical documentation.

Why It Helps You

  • Ensures your case is routed correctly and reviewed promptly.
  • Reduces the need for escalations.
  • Helps us provide accurate and timely responses, avoiding delays in patient care.

Next Steps

Please review the available tip sheet article in the Learning Center. Following that review, please share this reminder with your teams and ensure all staff responsible for submissions are aware. Using the “start continuation” button is critical for accurate processing and submission.
