Express Scripts, the pharmacy benefits manager (PBM) for the State Health Plan, implemented an Advanced Opioid Management (AOM) program on March 1, 2018. This AOM program is a clinically-driven solution to combating a nationally recognized opioid crisis. The program offers a suite of services that provides a dynamic way to fight opioid abuse by meeting patient needs at the doctor’s office, pharmacy and at home.
