Coming Soon: RadMD Enhancements

April 29, 2021

Beginning May 20, 2021, you will notice some enhancements to the provider portal of RadMD.  These changes will help to improve your overall experience by ensuring the necessary documentation is submitted to successfully process authorization requests, which in turn reduces the need for appeals.

Here’s what’s new:

Required documents checklist

You will be provided a checklist of clinical documents that must be submitted to successfully complete your authorization request.  This will include:

  • A reminder to have clinical information ready for submission at the start of the online authorization request process; and
  • A specific list of required clinical documents based on the requested procedure and specialty, which appears as soon as the authorization request is completed, and when you are ready to upload the information.  This list will remain on the screen until the authorization request is complete.
Clinical document upload module

Improvements made to the RadMD upload module will support the new required documents checklist feature and allow you to upload an unlimited number of clinical documents.

At the end of the process, you will have the option to attest that all the required clinical documents have been uploaded and will receive a confirmation that the request has been submitted successfully.  If there are documents missing, you will be notified and given the option to submit the additional documents or withdraw the request.
