Preferred Blue®: The most extensive provider network in the state
Our Preferred Blue network is the largest network of physicians, hospitals and other health care providers in the state — with more than 10,000 physicians and every South Carolina hospital. That translates to more claims paid in network and significant cost savings.
BlueCross members also have 24/7 access to virtual visits with medical providers from a home computer or mobile device through Blue CareOnDemandSM. No appointment necessary!
Coverage beyond South Carolina
Members may receive in-network benefits outside of the state through the BlueCard® program. This national program lets BlueCross members access in-network care through Blue Plan networks in other states.
We also offer options for members traveling or living abroad, through BlueCross Global® and GeoBlueSM, a member-centered concierge model of care delivery.
Finding network providers
Members can sign into My Health Toolkit® to easily search network providers by specialty, location or other criteria. And anyone can browse our online provider directory to see if a physician, hospital or other health care professional is part of our network.
